New Blog Design, New Blog Schedule!

Every Sunday, I take 20 minutes or so to sit down and think about what meals I'm going to make during the upcoming week.  I find that when I just ask myself "What do I feel like eating this week?" it takes me forever to come up with ideas, and even longer to make a grocery list.  So I started thinking about meal planning in categories, and it really seemed to help.  For example, every week I try to plan one chicken meal, one fish meal, one Italian/pasta meal, and two grain -based meals.  (We aren't big red meat eaters here.  Or should I say, I'm not a big red meat eater, so by default, no one is!) Planning five meals a week is usually plenty, because inevitably a meal or two gets bumped for one reason or another.

I seem to have the same issues when I'm planning what to post on this blog.  If I ask myself, "What am I going to write about?"  then it can sometimes take me forever to gather my thoughts.  So, since I recently had a change in blog design, I decided it might be a good time to change the blog formatting a little too.

Here's what's in store for you.  I'd love to hear your thoughts on the content!  Here's the schedule:

Mondays -- I'll post about a craft or a DIY project I'm working on.

Tuesdays -- I'll write a tip for busy moms; something that will save you some time or money, or something that I have found to be helpful.

Wednesdays -- I'm starting a feature called "One Small Thing."  I'll post about something little you can do to make a difference.  It might be something environmental, or something that you can do to take care of yourself.  I'd love this to be an interactive feature...email me to submit ideas!

Thursdays -- I'll post about a craft or DIY project I'm working on.

Fridays -- I'll post a recipe...something quick, easy, and tasty!

Saturdays -- I'll post some things that have caught my eye in the blogosphere that week.

Sundays -- I'll post something I'm thankful for, or maybe some photos of something we did during the week.

The schedule is somewhat flexible...sometimes things come up and I can't blog, or I'm sure there will be times that I want to write about other things.  I would love to hear your feedback!
